This Saturday: Void: SOHO 16 Mercer St New York, NY Phone: (212) 941-6492 10PM - 4AM By Subway: Take the J,M,Z or N,R,Q,W or 6 Train to Canal St. 10 - 4 rsvp@unevenfoundation.com for $5 entry - Perhaps you haven't made it out yet, if not, you should! Here's a few things to expect: 1. Acid house! it seems like people are finally catching on to how great acid house is, what's up with that? 2. Cheap drinks! If you haven't noticed, we like getting drunk so we pick venues that have good sound systems, pretty of dark corners and hardcore cheap drinks, what else do you need really? 3. Porn! I can't really explain what happens but somewhere around 2 O'clock in the morning every saturday things start getting kinda sleazy. It's not bridge and tunnel sleazy, it's just kind of "why aren't people making pornos in williamsburg?" sleazy. 4. What else are you going to do, everyone knows who played out everything else is, come on, you don't need anymore pictures of yourself at a whack rock show standing in between a trucker hat and satin garbage bag. 5. Revolution!!!, That is of course if you want to fight the homogeny that is ruining our subcultures. It's culture folks and you can't get that in a handbag or a choice photo of you hanging out in the same room as the guys from (oh my god!!) vice magazine. 6. People making educated choices about playing records that don't insult your intelligence or your need to shake your ass. Via: - Bruce Tantum of Time Out magazine, this guy knows what's up and he knows how to lay it down! (damn that was good) - Coin Op, probably one of the best djs I've ever met, she's from the love your records and they will love you back school. Anyone that can point out specs of paper from recycled vinyl on a trax record while kickin some wicked acid deserves props. - Kean, The Jean Paul Sartre of french tech house, enough said. - Record Camp DJs, we'll be pouring a little out for the old spots, RIP level x and open air :-) OTHER NEWS: The Record Camp Label, we're slow but when it comes out of the oven it'll be hot! Activaire, there's so much going on here and can't even begin...
